Boughen Nurseries Ltd. is located in beautiful North East Saskatchewan and has been family owned for over 80 years. Our 50 acre fenced growing area gives us the space we need to produce a variety of high quality trees and shrubs for Western Canada. Our onsite retail area is located on Old Highway 35 West just 10 minutes outside Nipawin on paved highway and is open seasonally for those who want to visit us in person!
We can arrange for delivery across Western Canada, including City of Prince Albert, City of Saskatoon, City of Regina, and surrounding areas.
OUR HISTORY
Boughen Nurseries Ltd. was founded in 1937 by Ken & Doris Boughen, and later taken over by sons Bud (Pat) and Jim (Vivian) in 1979. After Bud’s passing in 1989, Harvey and Irene Detbrenner purchased Boughen Nurseries Ltd. in 1994, which they ran with their son Clint, who had been working at the nursery since 1990. Clint and Brenda took over the operations in 2010 and have continued to provide quality nursery stock to greenhouses and home center locations across the prairies.

In January 2021, Cris Richer, who was born and raised in Nipawin, purchased the business and is looking forward to continuing the 80 year tradition long of providing quality fruit trees, shrubs and landscaping trees with friendly small town service for friends and clients past and future.
